Romeo Rega

Italian designer Romeo Rega, born in 1904, is one of the few designers of the 1970s era whose furniture is associated with a combination of Hollywood Regency and glamour. Although little is known of his personal or professional life, Regas legacy lives on as his designs come to be seen at vintage exhibitions and auctions.
Regas furniture is characterised by geometric shapes and the use of several types of natural materials in each piece. His designs are almost always gilded, chrome-plated or covered in brass, which adds charm and elegance. Some sources state that Rega worked with the famous designers Willy Rizzo and Gabriella Crespi, as all three designers followed a very similar aesthetic in their work.
